The original Colt 1851 Navy model got very popular in short time in England as well. Husband of queen Victoria, prince Albert supported strongly to equip the British Army as well with Navys. By that time the officers bought their own sidearms. In 1853 Colt started a factory in London to produce the model. From 1853 to 1857 more than 42000 revolvers were produced here.

The Navy London has case hardened frame, steel backstrap, brass trigger guard, 7.5″ blued octagonal barrel, and an one-piece walnut grip. The cylinder is a 6-shot engraved one.
